A voice like an angel

I think that one of the best parts of Christmas are the songs. I can listen to Christmas music everyday from Thanksgiving until Christmas. I think only Kate shares this same love as I do. Today, I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas came on the radio and I was filled with so much glee that I was compelled to sing it at the top of my lungs, every word. I can't believe how happy that song makes me. At the end of it, I looked in the rear view mirror and saw Laney with both hands covering her ears. Weird, I guess she doesn't like that song as much as I do.

Sibling Rivalry

Laney and Sophie aren't biological sisters, but I believe they love each other like sisters. This morning, I took them on a long walk and to the park in the double stroller where they each have their own seat with their own handle bar. Today, Laney keep reaching over and putting her hand on Sophies handlebar. Sophie, in turn, kept moving her hand away, at one point looking at me as if to say, "Hey Nini! Laney is looking at me! Make her stop NOW!". It reminded me of when Jason and I were little and he would cross that invisible line in the car, and I would scream at my mom, "MOM, JASON IS BREATHING ON ME! HE'S ON MY SIDE! STOP!!!" I figure, they are getting some good practice time in should they ever get real biological siblings. They will be expert tormentors, a quality best achieved with much practice. And you know what they say, practice makes perfect.

Lucy is Frosty

Tonight we all went to see Lucy perform her rendition of Frosty the Snowman. It's pretty good and I think she had all the kids fooled. I expect an Oscar nomination in January.
